The Global Company operates this site and is the controller of the personal data described here. It can be contacted at sales@theglobalcompany.com.
2. What is collected
Enquiry data
Submitted voluntarily through the enquiry form: name, organisation if given, email address, and the message text.
Technical data
Processed automatically by the hosting infrastructure for security and delivery, such as IP address and browser user agent, held in short lived server logs.
The site does not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, tracking pixels, session replay, fingerprinting, profiling or automated decision making, and does not build marketing profiles.
3. Why it is processed and on what basis
Enquiry data is processed to read and respond to the enquiry and to keep a record of the correspondence. Under the GDPR the basis is the legitimate interest of responding to a business enquiry, and where relevant, steps taken at the request of the person before entering into a contract.
Technical data is processed on the basis of legitimate interest in the security and integrity of the site.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
Only strictly necessary cookies and equivalent local storage are used, for security and the correct functioning of the enquiry form. No consent is required for strictly necessary cookies.
No optional cookies are set, so there is nothing to opt into or out of. If that ever changes, consent will be requested before any non essential technology is used.
5. Sharing
Personal data is never sold, rented, traded or shared for cross context behavioural advertising.
It is disclosed only to service providers acting on the operator’s instructions, specifically the hosting and database provider used to operate the site and receive enquiries, and to professional advisers or authorities where required by law.
6. International transfers
Data may be processed on servers outside the country of the person’s residence, including outside the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Australia. Where that occurs, appropriate safeguards are used, including standard contractual clauses or an equivalent lawful transfer mechanism with the provider concerned.
7. Retention
Enquiry data is kept for 24 months from the last contact and then deleted, unless a longer period is required for an ongoing engagement or by law. Server logs are kept for a short period for security purposes.
8. Security
Reasonable technical and organisational measures are in place, including transport encryption and access restricted to those who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
9. Rights
Depending on the applicable law, a person may have the right of access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection, portability, and withdrawal of consent where consent is the basis of processing.
Requests can be made by writing to sales@theglobalcompany.com. Identity may need to be verified. Requests are answered within one month.
Residents of the United States
Residents of the United States have the right to know, to delete and to correct their personal information. Personal information is not sold or shared, so no opt out of sale is necessary. No person will be discriminated against for exercising a right.
Residents of Australia
Residents of Australia have the right to access and correct their personal information, and can make a complaint about the handling of personal information directly to the operator.
10. Complaints
Any concern should be raised directly with the operator at sales@theglobalcompany.com. This is the fastest route to resolution and where most matters are settled.
Where a person is in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Australia, they also have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection or privacy authority in their country.
11. Children
The site is not directed at anyone under 18 and personal data is not knowingly collected from them.

This policy may be updated. The date shown at the top of this page indicates the current version.
